Recent deals, options, and requests for CWA writers! 

SPRING 2014: Four writers from the 2013 competition are in the midst of securing options. Stay tuned for more details soon!

NOVEMBER 2013: Creative World Awards (CWA) Co-founders, Heather Waters and Marlene Neubauer announce option deal for 2013 Grand Prize Winner, Paul Undari. Waters and Neubauer have attached to produce his feature psychological thriller, THE PEOPLE VS. GOD.

CWA. in conjunction with The Moving Image Xchange, are set to produce a short film adaptation of Undari’s feature in mid December. The short will premiere at the Richmond International Film Festival (RIFF) held at the historic Byrd Theater in Richmond, VA February 27-March 2nd. In 2011, USA Today called the 1,300-seat theatre, "One of the top 10 places to still see a movie in splendor in the United States." The option on the feature script was finalized early November. Congrats, Paul!

OCTOBER 2013: Eight of the 2013 CWA Winners are being considered for agent representation.

Last year's Creative Concept Winner, SLEEPWALKERS, is now in post production. This is writer, Jason Merrin's directorial debut. A big congrats, Jason!  You can check out the Kickstarter campaign here - they're currently raising funds to complete post.

SPRING/SUMMER 2013: From the script and logline promotion, more than 70 CWA competition scripts have been requested by production companies with two options pending.

WINTER 2012: The CWA 2010 contest script, THE CURSE, has been published as a novella, and optioned by Momo Films in Australia. Congrats to Vasilios Bouzas!

CWA gets 2012 Act-Adv Winner, Scott Lainer meeting with Literary Mgmnt company, Prolific Entertainment.

CWA co-founder, Heather Waters and The Moving Image Xchange option a CWA 2012 quarterfinalist feature, OFFERINGS. Congrats, Elijah!

CWA co-founder, Marlene Neubauer and Tracee Stanlee of Kundali Entertainment option ARMY OF AVARICE, a 2012 entrant. Congrats, Nathan! Script is currently in development.

CWA makes introduction between several writers and Summit Talent Agency. Four being considered for representation.

2009: CWA works with Kundali Entertainment to sign option on 2 scripts from 2008. Finalist Shepherd’s Moon by John Arends and The List by Alec Carlin have both signed deals with production outfit, Kundali Entertainment. Congrats, John & Alec!

CWA assists Finalist script, "Gary Son of God" from 2008, Kirk Davis and Devin Crowley for Option Deal - in final negotiations. Congrats Kirk & Devin!
